Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Noblett, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors.
Mr. Lindsey was born in Bakersfield, Calif. He served in the 474th Infantry of the Army. At Palo Duro Canyon State Park, he had worked as a park ranger and later worked in the riding stables, which he also owned and operated. He retired in 1995.
He had worked as a cowboy in California, Nevada and Texas, had lived in Canyon for 35 years and was a Jehovah's Witness.
He married Bettye Ross in 1987 at Canyon. He was preceded in death by three sons, Jimmy Lee Lindsey, in 1945; Kelly Alfred Lindsey, in 1966; and Jesse Harold Lindsey, in 1990. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Billie, in 1985.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Katheryn Ann Lester of Canyon; a stepson, Craig Ham of the Navy in Sasebo, Japan; a stepdaughter, Janet Coile of Happy; three step-granddaughters; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176-0001.
