GEORGETOWN - Laura Brandon Lambert, 94, died Monday, March 16, 1999, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

She was born Oct. 23, 1904, in Berkeley County, a daughter of the late Fletcher Brandon and Minnie Shurlknight Brandon.

She was the widow of George Washington Lambert.

She lived most of her life in the Sampit community of Georgetown County. She was a member and former Sunday school superintendent of Sampit Pentecostal Holiness Church, where Laura Lambert's Day is held every year.

Mrs. Lambert lived with her daughter in the Bucksport community of Horry County for the past 10 years and attended Little Lamb Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include five daughters, Katherine T. Bauer of Andrews, Betty L. Wiggins, Sara Jane L. Lowrimore and Peggy L. McDonald, all of Georgetown, and Minnie Lou L. Howell of Conway; a brother, Matthew Brandon of Andrews; a half-sister, Alice Lambert of Andrews; 34 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Sampit Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Revs. Jeff Goude, Ronald Jackson, Henry Duncan Jr. and Franklin Lowrimore will officiate. Burial will be in Sampit United Methodist Cemetery. Georgetown chapel of Mayer Funeral Home is in charge.
