John Allen Davis, 67, residing near the intersection of the Main street road and the State Road 67 bypass, died yesterday afternoon at the family home following a stroke of apoplexy.
The body was removed to the George McCarty funeral home at Fortville, and was returned this morning to the residence. Funeral services will probably he held Wednesday afternoon with burial in the Baptist Cemetery, near Ovid. Ovid Lodge, no. 164, F. & A.M. will have charge of the rites.
Surviving are a widow, Mrs. Estella David; one son Smithson Davis, R.F.D. 7, and a sister, Mrs. Lavina Titus, of this city.
