The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today in the Church of God. Burial, directed by Mayer's Georgetown Chapel, will be in Sampit United Methodist Cemetery.
Mr. Richardson was born June 30, 1935, in Georgetown County, a son of Dick Richard Richardson and Bertha McKenzie Richardson. He was a heavy equipment mechanic for the MacAlloy Corp. in Charleston and was a former chief engineer on a seagoing tug for a towing company.
Surviving are three sons, Mark D. Richardson, Paul E. Richardson and James W. Richardson, all of Charleston; a daughter, Jane E. Pizzillo of Charleston; five brothers, Calvin Richardson, Ronald Richardson, Joe Richardson and John H. Richardson, all of Georgetown, and Daniel E. Richardson of Plantersville; three sisters, Julia R. Witska of Summerville, Leona R. Rector of North Charleston and Ethel S. Smith of Murrells Inlet; and four grandchildren.
