Charles Donald Clark, age 78 of Pulaski passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at his home. Born March 17, 1931 in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late John Harless & Velma Morefield Clark. His wife, Marcia Clark, sister, Colleen Hall and brother-in-law, Robert Swinsburg also preceded him in death. He worked for the Virginia Department of Corrections as a corrections officer with 35 years of service. He served during the Korean War with the United States Marine Corps. He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Debbie & Phillip Scarberry, Dublin; son & daughter-in-law, Robert & Trina Clark, Dublin; grandchildren, James Charles (JC) Scarberry, Tina Everidge & Shawn Scarberry; great grandchildren, Emma & Gracie Everidge; sisters, Betty & Earl Chewning, Pulaski; Ivajo Swinsburg, Draper; brother-in-law, Jeff Hall; lots of nieces, nephews and other family members; special neighbors Roger, Steve and Lisa. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin with Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski. Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family.
