Roy W. Mauldin
Delta, Colo. -- Roy W. "Shorty" Mauldin, 80, Delta, Colo., died October 28, 1993, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. He was a former Abilene resident.
He was born April 15, 1913, in Abilene, the son of William and Mable Yonally Mauldin. The family moved to Colorado, where he grew up and graduated from high school in Pagosa Springs.
On February 6, 1935, he married Henrietta Darling in Abilene. She survives.
For more that 38 years, he tied trout flies commercially. Before moving to Delta in 1957, he had lived in Seymour, MO., Gunnison, Cedaredge and Austin. He retired in 1978, after working for the Delta City Cemetery.
Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Sandra Plumb, Grand Junction, Colo.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Dora Darling, Abilene, is a cousin.
Graveside services and burial were held November 1, in the Delta City Cemetery with the Rev. Douglas Mckey officiating.
