Jeremiah served in Company C 4th Wisconsin Cavalry during the Civil War.


Jerry Flint left for Blackfoot City Montana to look after mining and ranch interests. He was accompanied by James Stewart who will be employed at the mines - April 23, 1891
Ex-Postmaster Jerry E. Flint writes from Augus Mn Chickens Prelanty boys get 10 or 15 just going a little ways. Good men get 430 or 50 by going half the distance. better come - August 30, 1883
Jerry E. Flint tendered his resignation several weeks since as his business arrangement were required him to leave this place soon. President Arthur appointed George E Reed to fill the vacancy. A very general regret is felt that Mr. Flint feels the necessarily of removing from the village with who's history he has been identified for many years and the best wishes of the community go with him - January 11, 1883
