GEORGETOWN -Mrs. Pearl Tarleton Hayes, 67, died en route to Georgetown County Hospital Sunday of an apparent heart attack.

A daughter of the late Caldwell and Margaret Jane Griffin Tarleton she was born in Union County, N.C.

Services will be today at 4 p. m. in Sampit United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband David Wilson Hayes; a son, Jack J. Helms of Homerville, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Aleene Smith of Silver Point, Tenn. and Mrs. Edith Martin of Anderson; three stepsons, D. W. Hayes Jr. of Morganhill, Calif., John A. and C. Douglas Hayes of Fontana, Calif.; a brother B. F. Tarleton of Charlotte, N.C.; and two sisters, Mrs. Radah Mullis and Mrs. Mrs. Kate Godwin of Marshville, N.C. Mayer Funeral Home is in charge.
