Betty J. Powers, age 81, of Orange City passed away January 24. She was born in Lubbock,Texas the daughter of Boyd S. and Pearl Gallemore Collett.

She married Jesse Powers February 8, 1946 in San Angelo, Texas while Jesse was stationed at Goodfellow Air Base. She was a long time member of the Baptist faith. They were blessed with over 63 years of marriage and a wonderful family which includes, her husband, Jesse; children, Linda Johnson (Kevin) of Bunnell, Mike Powers (Juanita) of Deltona, George Powers (Denise) of Jonesboro, Georgia and Judy Turner of Bunnell. She also leaves 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; & 3 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Baldauff Family Funeral Home Orange City, where friends may call 5-7 pm Wednesday.

Entombment will be in Deltona Memorial Cemetery. www.baldauffuneralhome.com.
