Martin Fogarty, 78, a native of Ireland, but for practically all of his life a resident of Monroe and vicinity, died in Mercy Hospital Thursday night at 9:45 of hearty disease. The remains were taken in charge by the Griesmer-Grimm Company and removed to the home of his brother, John Fogarty in Monroe. Mr. Fogarty is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Farell of Monroe and Mrs. Bridget Purcell of Middletown.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 8:30 at the home of John Fogarty in Monroe, followed by requiem mass at 9 o'clock in the Monroe Catholic Church, conducted by the Rev. R. Bratels of Lebanon. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Middletown.
