Dr. Ross Robert Williamson, age 74, of Palestine, Texas died January 29, 2010, in Tyler, Texas. Burial in Bedias Baptist Cemetery, Bedias, Texas is under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home of Palestine. He was born August 31, 1935, in Bryan, Texas to Ross Robert and Mada G. Foster Williamson. From 1959 to 1961, he served in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps, and from 1961 to 1990 when he retired, he served as a veterinarian for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Dr. Williamson was a member of Norwood Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister-in-law Donna Craig. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lanelle Williamson; brothers, Stuart Williamson and wife Beth, and George Williamson.
