Mrs. Ella Mae Cain, 77, of Westfield passed away on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home.

Mrs. Cain was born in Stokes County on May 11, 1932, to the late John and Lula Ann Martin.

Mrs. Cain was a housewife and helped with the Cain Grocery Store and was a member of Woodville Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cain is survived by her loving husband, Walter Leon Cain of the home; one son, Steve Cain of Westfield; two grandchildren, Tyler and Zackery Cain; one brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Rada Martin; sister-in-law, Faye Martin; and one brother-in-law, Roy Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Martin Van Cain; four sisters, Joy Lee Anderson, Doris Cooke, Francis Wright and Gladys Cole; and three brothers, Graham Martin, Alger Martin and Raymond Martin.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at Woodville Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Keith Love and the Rev. Odell Sisk officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2010, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Woodville Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Woodville Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 5108 Westfield Road, Mount Airy NC 27030.

Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain is assisting the Cain family.
