SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. J. REIFENRATH
Mrs. John G. Reifenrath, 96, St. James, died Saturday at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Services were 10 a.m., Wednesday at Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, St. James. The Rev. Wayne Schlautman officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the direction of Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. The Rosary was recited at 8 p.m., Tuesday at the church.
Mrs. Reifenrath, the farmer Julia Helena Imohel, was born June 26, 1882 at Festina, Iowa and had been a St. James resident since her marriage Oct. 22, 1900, at Festina, Iowa. Mr. Reifenrath died March 21, 1956.
She was a member of Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church and the Altar Society of the church.
Survivors include eight daughters Mrs. Mary Gerleman and Lavina Reifenrath, both of St. James, Sister Aelreda Reifenrath, Yankton, Mrs. Francis (Rosalia) Wieseler and Mrs. Louis (Barbara) Wieselar, both of Rochester, Minn., Mrs. Vincent (Beatrice) Walter, Aurora, Ill., Mrs. John (Agatha) Goeden, Fordyce and Mrs. Angela Gubbels, Randolph, Neb., two sons Alphonse and Joseph, both of St. James, two sisters Mrs. Mary Hageman, Fort Atkinson, Iowa, Mrs. Rosalia Hageman, Calmar, Iowa, 37 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
