SERAPHINA REIFENRATH

Services for Seraphina Reifenrath, 85, of Hartington, formerly of Sioux City, Iowa, were held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the St. Phillip and James Catholic Church in St. James. Rev. Robert Eimers officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home.

She was born May 20, 1890, at Menominee to Zirack and Mary Schmitt Haas and died Wednesday in the Hartington nursing home. She was married at Fordyce in 1919. Mrs. Reifenrath had been employed as a housekeeper for Bishop Hunkeler in Omaha, Grand Island and Kansas City, Mo., and moved to Sioux City in 1972.

Survivors include a brother, John of Sioux City. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1932.

Pallbearers included Ralph and Clarence Haas, Leonard Feldhacker, Don Williams, Earl Mormon and Alphonse Reifenrath.
