Actor. He was a popular comedian when he broke in to films, making his debut in "I Escaped from the Gestapo" (1943). His other movie credits include "Vine Woman and Song" (1946), "The Lucky Stiff" (1949) and "The Vagabond King" (1956). For television, he was the host of "The 54th Street Revue" series, appeared on "Cavalcade of Bands" and was on "The Ed Sullivan Show" three times. He died at the age of 43 in New York City.
