RURAL HALL - Mrs. Pattie Louise Poindexter Marshall, 93, of Stanleyville Drive passed away Friday, March 10, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Marshall was born in Forsyth County on Aug. 7, 1912, the daughter of the late Henry Oscar and Elah Crumpler Poindexter. She was a member of Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem, a graduate of Rural Hall High School and had attended University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robah Edward Marshall, in 1983. Surviving are two daughters, Patsy Crews and husband Wilburn of Rural Hall and Shirley Felton of Carrollton, Texas; four grandchildren, Randall Crews and wife Kimberly of Rural Hall, Beverly Crews of Rural Hall, Margaret Felton of San Pedro, Calif., and Mary Ann Carr and husband Jason of Carrollton; four great-grandchildren, Jonathan Crews, Edward Crews, Justin Sprinkle and Mark Sprinkle, all of Rural Hall; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Poindexter of Rural Hall; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, at Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church in Germanton, with the Rev. Davis Coburn and the Rev. Tony Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Marshall family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, March 13, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. Memorial donations may be made to Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 39, Germanton, NC 27019; or Hickory Ridge UMC, 6012 Germanton Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
