Died, last Thurs., March 4th, of a complication of diseases and old age, aged 75 years. We were aware last Tuesday that he was at the point of death, but by some accident it was omitted. Uncle Barton was one of the oldest citizens of this vicinity, having settled near where Fithian now stands, 48, years ago. He has lived in and near Fairmount 32 years. He was buried Saturday in Davis cemetery. He raised quite a large family, nine of whom are living, as follows: Mrs. Kate Mills, North Baltimore, Ohio; James, Williamsville, Mo.; Harvey, Piedmont, Mo.; Lysander, Fithian, this county; Daniel, John and Mrs. Lizzie Elliott, of this vicinity, and Mrs. Phoebe Reynolds and Mrs. Mary V. Cline, of this village.
