Ella J. Knotts, 76, of 855 Seventh Street, Waynesburg, died at 1:50 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 1971, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, after being seriously ill for the past four weeks. Mrs. Knotts had not been in the best of health for the past two months.
She was born at Brock, Aug. 13, 1895, a daughter of the late Minor and Mary Elizabeth Headley Stoneking.
Her early life was spent in the Brock area and since 1922 she has resided at Waynesburg. A member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Mrs. Knotts always took an active part in church activities.
Her husband, the late Lambert L. Knotts, died Sept. 24, 1947.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Virginia) Thomas, of Waynesburg; two sons: Loyes, of Akron, Ohio; and Raymond, of Ashland, Va.; nine grandchildren; and two brothers: Alvan Stoneking, of Dilliner and William Stoneking, of Waynesburg.
One son, Harold, and one brother and one sister preceded her in death.
