George L. Kern, 69, of 216 Blackhawk st., Aurora, who retired three years ago as a switchman with the Burlington railroad after 25 years of service, died yesterday in St. Joseph Mercy hospital, Aurora, of injuries suffered Sunday when struck by an automobile at Lake st. and West Park av., Aurora.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the home. Surviving are two sons, Lambert G. and Earl J., both of Aurora; and two daughters, Mrs. Alice K. Harker, Sugar Grove, Kane county, and Mrs. Evelyn K. Harker, Aurora.
