Albert N. Gerler of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Altenburg, died Monday, June 15, 1992 at Missouri Veteran's Horne in Cape Girardeau. He was 77.
He was born on November 30, 1914 in Perry County, the son of the late Martin G. and Emma T. (Mueller) Gerler. He was married on July 27, 1946 to Zadie Belle Gamble of Cape Girardeau, who survives.
Other survivors include one son and one daughter, Daniel Lynn Gerler of Gordonville and Mrs. Melvin (Jean Marie) Barks of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Arnold M. Gerler and Vernon M. Gerler, both of Altenburg and five grandchildren.
One sister also preceded him in death.
He was a Veteran of World War II, former member of Disabled American Veterans, St. Louis and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. He was the owner and
operator of Gerler's Resort.
Memorials are preferred to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.
Funeral services were Wednesday, June 17 at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg with the Rev. Willard Kassulke officiating. Burial was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Altenburg.
