She married 3rd Frank E. McKinney on February 11, 1939, in Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.

"Mrs. Candace A. McKinney, 79, of Toledo, died at 5:30 p.m. yesterday in Riverside Hospital, Toledo, of a heart ailment. She was the mother of Mrs. Ralph Hoel of Luna Pier.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Karcher Funeral Home, Luna Pier. The Rev. Robert E. Woods of the Ottawa River United Methodist Church, Toledo, will officiate, and burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, LaSalle.

The daughter of John W. and Candace Stoup, she was born April 15, 1889, in Yeddo, Indiana. She was a seamstress most of her life and a member of the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Republican Women's Club.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Barbara J.) Hoel of Luna Pier; a brother, Glenn D. Stoup of Swanton, Ohio; one grandchild and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank McKinney, and a son Robert Cox."
