LONGWOOD, FL - Carolyn Ann Sapp, 67, of Longwood, FL passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Sunday, January 24, 2010. Mrs. Sapp was born in Shreveport, LA on October 16, 1942. Beautifully raised by Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Speights and Mrs. Gertrude "Kitty" Brown, she moved to New Orleans and married James Eli Sapp on December 12, 1964. In 1977, her family came to Longwood where she and her husband enjoyed real estate investment. Her determined and courageous spirit was balanced by her compassionate caring for family and friends. She had a love of cooking, reading and scuba diving. She was proudly rooted in her southern heritage and her strength, wisdom and humor have inspired many. She is survived by her father, Delbert Speights; loving husband of 45 years, Jim Sapp; daughter, Tracy Murphy; and granddaughter, McKenna Murphy. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Hospice of the Comforter.
