James Wilson who has been ill for a number of weeks at the family home, 889 W. Green street, passed away in death this Thursday morning at 7 o'clock in the 70th year of his age. The deceased was the father of Thomas G. Wilson, chancellor commander of Couer de Leon lodge No 17, Knights of Pythias and was a well-known citizen who was held in the highest esteem.
Mr. Wilson was born in Pennsylvania, Feb. 20, 1826 and moved to Ohio at an early age. In 1871 he moved to Macon county and has resided here ever since.
He leaves a widow and three children, Maurice E. Wilson, Charles C. Wilson and Thomas G. Wilson.
The funeral will be held at the family residence, 889 W Green street, on Friday afternoon, April 26, at 2 o'clock. Rev. E. F. Howe of the First M. E. Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood.
