She was born June 26, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the eldest of five children of Alma Charles and Alice Rosenvall Eitner.
She was educated in SLC schools and attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City.
Beverly married John S. Jenkins on December 27, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Through the US Air Force, they lived in Massachusetts, Bermuda, South Carolina and moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1963.
Beverly was a kind, loving wife, and mother. She left a wonderful legacy of love and faith for her family.
Beverly is survived by her children, Judy, John Bryan (Joann), Laurel (Bill Parks), Ellen (Ed Backus), Kathy (Brian Howes), David, Thomas, Ralph (Tammie), and Stephen, twenty-four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sisters Pam Earle and Sherrie Bodell, brother Jay Eitner, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John, sons Paul and Leonard, and her brother Emerson.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. in the LDS Stake Center at 2240 Baxter Road in Anchorage. Friends may visit with the family in the cultural hall of the church after the services.
Burial will be in the Angelus Memorial Park Cemetery in Anchorage.
