He was employed by the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a pipefitter in the power plant for 30 years, retiring in 1961. Member of St. Catherine's Church, the Retreat Guild, president of the Creek AC, 50 year member of the Portsmouth Council, No 140, Knights of Columbus.
