Ronald Blankenship, a native of California, was born on January 19, 1967 in Gilroy, Calif, and passed away on January 22, 2010. He moved with his mother, Sharon and stepfather, Todd Boyd, to Mariposa, Calif. In his younger days,he spent time in an old mining town near Yosemite, Calif, where he enjoyed fishing and hunting in this beautiful mountain area. In 1983, Ron moved to San Luis Obispo, Calif, where he attended San Luis Obispo High School. His principal occupation was service and construction. He enjoyed the outdoors and physical work. He was extremely outgoing and never met anyone who wasn't his friend. He will be missed by so many. Ron is survived by his lovely wife, Kathy; mother Sharon; stepfather, James Lee; brother, Jim; sister, Mary Ann; daughters Carrisa, Alexis, and Alex; stepchildren Sherri, Christine and Taylor; along with his prized Chihuahua, "Missy." He was predeceased by his father Jerrall Blankenship; and stepfather, Todd Boyd.
