BABCOCK
Funeral services for Melvin E. Babcock, 60, of 1118 Columbia avenue, who died at 10:43 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's hospital of heart disease will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the residence and at 2 p.m. at the Crescent Avenue Evangelical church with Rev. Leroy Geiger, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Lindenwood cemetery. The remains will be returned to the residence at 2 p.m. today from the D. O. McComb & Sons' funeral home. Surviving are the wife, Clara; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Lee of Hudson, Ind., and Mrs. Burness Woodruff of Fort Wayne; four sons, Harry, Marshall and Lester of this city, and True Babcock of Huntington; three sisters, Mrs. Leon Diegel and Mrs. James Stouder of Fort Wayne and Mrs. Robert Hathaway of Springfield, O.; four brothers, Frank and Charles Babcock of this city, Sylvan of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Troy Babcock of Logansport; 11 grandchildren and a half-brother, James Glick of Monroe, Ind.
