SAMUEL D. MUDD, 83, died at his home, 1895 Richmond Drive, at 6:30 p.m. yesterday. A retired farmer, he moved here in 1945 from Springfield, Ky. Survivors include a son, W. D. Mudd; four daughters, Miss Alice E. Mudd, Miss Mary Barbara Mudd, Miss Mattie C. Mudd, and Mrs. Carl B. Ratterman; and three brothers, Wallace Mudd; and Howard and Louis Mudd, both of Springfield. The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday from Ratterman's Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, and at 9 a.m. from St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1960 Bardstown Road. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Springfield, Ky.
