Private in Captain Kuhns Company, Pennsylvania Militia, War of 1812, whose widow, Rebecca C. Pemberton, received warrant #37,586 under the Scrip Warrant Act of 1855. That warrant was reassigned to Mrs. Frances Louisa (Hurlbut) Dunning, a native of Vermont, who used it to purchase 160 acres of land in Dakota county, Minnesota on 4 Sep 1858.
