Lena Dachtler Burkey Poole Obit

Lena Dachtler Poole, daughter of Magdalene and Andrew Burkey was born in Putnam County, Illinois, June 20, 1855 and passed away at the Milford Rest Home on March 5, 1955 at the age of 99 years, 8 months and 15 days. She was the youngest of 10 children, namely Fannie, Valentine, Andrew, John, Joseph, and Lena and four died in infancy.

After some years her parents with Joseph and Lena, the two youngest children moved to Crete. Lena was united in marriage to William Dachtler in 1875 who passed away February 14, 1925. She was united in marriage to George Poole in 1938, who passed away December 18, 1948.

She leaves to mourn her passing several nephews and nieces and other relatives and many neighbors and friends. She was converted at an early age and lived a consistent Christian life. She was a faithful member of the United Missionary Church in Milford.

Funeral services were conducted March 7, 1955 at the United Missionary Church.

Burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
