Arthur, age 80, of Pine Bluff, died on Thursday at his home surrounded by his wife and family. He was born to Frank & Mary (Bollenbeck) Haack. He was a United States Marine veteran during the Korean War. He married Betty Jane Rose on June 16, 1951, in St. Peter's Catholic Church in Welch, W.Va. Art worked for the Dane County Highway Department for 25 years as a patrolman and later at Mount Horeb Plumbing for 10 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary's of Pine Bluff Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty Jane; his children, Joni (Doug Mason) Haack of Denver, CO, George (Allison) Haack of Mount Horeb, WI, Pattie (Bob Weihrouch) Haack of Oregon, WI, and Nancy (Andy Sutter) Haack of Mount Horeb, WI; three grandchildren, Emily (Levi) Haga of Arena, WI, Elliot (Meghan Kelly) Haack of Madison, WI, and Zac Gonzales of Mount Horeb, WI; a sister, Katie Bollig of Pine Bluff, WI; two sisters-in-law, Polly Vance of Iaeger, WV, and Mary Haack of Cross Plains, WI; and other relatives and friends. Art was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph (Rita) Haack and Walter Haack; and four sisters, Sr. Ann Christine Haack, Clara Krantz, Marcella Santfleben and Bernadette in infancy. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, at Mary's of Pine Bluff Catholic Church with Father Rick Heilman officiating. The Ellestad Camacho Funeral Home, 500 N. 8th St., Mount Horeb assisted with arrangements.
