He was born on March 1, 1926 in Chenoa, IL a son of Alvyn Leroy and Eleanor Weidinger Schopp. He married Florence Winkler on February 7, 1948 in Roseville, MI. She survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jerome was a farmer in the Chenoa area. He was also the co-owner of Marlow's Appliances in Chenoa.
A Navy veteran, he served his country during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Chenoa.
Jerome was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
