CLAUDE G. CARTY, 77, of Memphis, retired zone supervisor for City of Memphis, died of cancer Thursday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. He was a World War II Army veteran and a Mason and attended St. John Catholic Church. Mr. Carty, the husband of Mary G. Carty, also leaves a daughter, Barbara Foster of Memphis; a son, Michael Carty of Minneapolis, and three grandchildren.
