Joyce Tigert, 78, of Beaumont, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, she was born January 5, 1932, to Clara and John Ainsworth.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Tigert of Beaumont; children, Barbara Davis of Springdale, Arkansas, John Edward Leviness of Vidor, Winnie Leviness and Robert Leviness both of Beaumont and Tillman Hargraves of San Augustine; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Giltner of Alpine and Dorothy DeYoung of Hamshire; and brother, John Edward Ainsworth of Palmdale, California.
She is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Leviness; parents, Clara Angeline Ainsworth and John Edward Ainsworth; and sisters, Shirley Cormier and Margie Owens.
A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be at Broussard’s Crematorium. The family would like invite everyone to join them for a reception at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at Central City Baptist Church, 1825 Franklin Street, Beaumont.
