Charlotte was married to William F. Birdsong Sr. on June 26, 1848 in Huntsville, Madison county, Alabama. After William's death, she was taken to Fort Smith, Ark to be a witness in a murder trial. While there, she was poisoned & died. She died & was buried on the same day
