Lester Wakeman Dies At Age 71 In Sioux Falls
Lester Wakeman, about 71, brother of Millard Wakeman of Hawarden, died unexpectedly in a Sioux Falls hotel Sunday evening.

He had accompanied another brother, Glenn Wakeman of Akron, to Brookings Sunday where he visited a son who teaches there and played actively with his grandchildren during the day.
After returning to the hotel in Sioux Falls where he resided, he apparently became suddenly ill and died. Shortly after Glenn Wakeman returned to his home at Akron, he was notified of his brother's death.
Mr. Wakeman, who was retired for many years, had been a civil service employee, having worked in the post office in Sioux Falls and had a mail route out of De Smet, S. D., for a time.
He was buried beside his wife in Sioux Falls where funeral services were held.
