Jason Ryan Burke died near his home in Vassar on April 14, 2008. He was 24.
He was born on Oct 6, 1983 in Ottawa, the son of Carolyn Totman and stepson of Rodney Totman.
He had lived in Vassar all of his life. He graduated from Lyndon High School in 2002, where he played trumpet in the school band, participated in baseball and football, and enjoyed playing basketball.
After graduation he worked at Ritz Camera Distribution Center in Topeka. He was baptized in the Catholic church. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Rodney Totman, Vassar, his twin sister, Jessica Dawn Burke, Vassar, and grandparents Earl and Donna Totman Osage City.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Helen Britschge.
Mass of Christian Burial was held April 19, at St Patrick's Catholic Church in Osage City. Burial was in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Osage City.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jason Burke Memorial Fund for services, or the Mental Health Center of East Central Kansas, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home.
