Mrs. Harry Carpenter
Mrs. Harry Carpenter, 65, of 1234 S. 22nd St., died at her home Saturday evening after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Antigo on April 11, 1893, a daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Pohlman, and received her education there at St. John's School. Her marriage to Harry Carpenter was performed at St. John's Church in Antigo on Nov. 26, 1914. Since 1927 they had resided in Sheboygan. Mrs. Carpenter was active in the millinery business for 51 years, having operated her own millinery shop, Anne's Hat Shop at 612 N. 8th St., for 11 years until her retirement in 1957 due to ill health.
She was a member of St. Clement's Parish and the Holy Family Altar Society.
Survivors are her husband; three sons, Eugene of Sheboygan, Hugh of West Bend and John of Neenah; a daughter, Mrs. Harvey (Orian) Boos of Sheboygan; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; a brother, Henry Pohlman of Milwaukee, and a sister, Mrs. William McDonald of Pekin, Ill. Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday with a requiem High Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Clement's Church following brief family rites at 9:30 a.m. at Gerend's Funeral Home. Father John J. Carroll will be the celebrant and burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Members of the Holy Family Altar Society will recite the Rosary at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock.

Mrs. Harry Carpenter
Funeral services for Mrs. Harry Carpenter, who died Saturday, were held this morning with a Requiem High Mass at 10 o'clock at St. Clement's Catholic Church following a brief family rites at Gerends' Funeral Home.
Father Donald Peters, curate, was celebrant of the mass and burial was in the family lot in Calvary Cemetery. Paul Vande Weghe sang the mass and played the organ accompaniment.
Members of the Holy Family Altar Society recited the rosary at the funeral home Tuesday evening with Father Peters leading.
Pallbearers were Elmer Bub, Russel Jerabeck, Ervin Wittforth, Wallace Meves, Donald Hayes and Roman Fritz.
