Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 24, 2006, in Lindeman Chapel with Rev. Roddy Jackson, Rev. Ervin Gould and Rev. James Brown officiating. Pallbearers are: Kevin Gray, Randy Cooper, David and Wayne Phelps, Robert Kelsoe, Ken Sims, Harold Neville and David Rozell. Honorary pallbearers are: Tilmon Deaton, Mark Megason, Joe DePriest and Eulen Cain. Burial will be in English Cemetery. Mr. Thomas was born on December 26, 1940, in Hill County, Texas, to Olin Otis and Hazel Thomas. He was the owner of Dave's Farm Service Center for 25 years, and a member of Avery Missionary Baptist Church. He married Mona Willett on December 22, 1973, in Waxahachie, Texas. David was a longtime well-respected and loved resident of his community who will be dearly missed. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his father; sister-in-law: Cleta Chase; brothers-in-law: Dana Chase and Charles Willett.
