Marshall Smith Hall, 97, was retired farmer
Marshall Smith Hall, 97, 632 Champion St. East, died at 15 P.M. Sunday at his home.
He was born (Saturday) November 17, 1888, in Neshannock Falls, Pa., the son of Samuel Blanchard and Esther Barr Shaw Hall. Mr. Hall was a retired farmer and formerly lived in Southington.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Wilson Hall, whom he married (Wednesday) November 17, 1926, five daughters, Mrs. Eva Hefner and Ms. Caroline Hall of Warren, Mrs. Frank (Helen) Metzendorf of Southington, Mrs. Dwain (Ruth) Woodyard of Leavittsburg, Mrs. Mary Finn in California; five sons, Russell and David of Southington, Earl of Bristollville, Marshall Jr. in Florida, Ralph of Fowler; a stepdaughter, Mrs. June Pinter of Southington; a stepson, Kenneth Hall of Eaton, Ohio; three brothers, Perry of New Castle, Pa., Ernest of Newton, Kan., Merle of Oakfield, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Leota Abbott of Leavittsburg; 45 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren. Two sons, a daughter, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
A grave side service will be Wednesday (May 28, 1986) at 11 A.M. in Southington Reformed Cemetery. Friends may call at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home from 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday.
The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to Southington Baptist Church.

I will always remember your small home in Ohio with the round potbelly stove in the living room that kept me warm as a child during one of my visits with my Grandfather (your brother) Mr. Perry C. Hall.
