The Chico Enterprise, Chico, CA, Wednesday Evening, Jul 13, 1938: "George L. Albert Taken by Death. George Lincoln Albert, 73, known here as the builder and first superintendent of DeSabla powerhouse died at his home on the Nimshew road above Centerville last night. He was a native of Yuba county.

"He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Undine Albert of Centerville; two sons, George L. Albert Jr., Centerville and Frederick G. Albert, Milwaukee, Wis.; a rother, D. W. Albert, Richmond.

"Albert was a civil and hydraulic engineer and was at the DeSabla powerhouse for many years before it was owned by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

"He was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and of the Mt.Herman Lodge of Masons, Vancouver, B.C.

"Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Westfall funeral home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Chico Lodge No. 111 F.&A.M. will conduct services and burial will follow in the Paradise cemetery."
