John Lynn Goudy, 86, passed away on December 28, 2009 at his home in Orem.


He was born November 11, 1923 to John Jordan and Katherine Llewellynn Goudy in Salt Lake City, Utah.


John grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from the Trade Tech Vocational School. He worked with sheet metal and specialized in Air Conditioning. John served in the Navy Air Force during World War II for four years.


He married Zelda Topham on September 11, 1945. Later, on their sixtieth wedding anniversary they were sealed in the LDS Mount Timpanogos Temple.


He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a High Priest. He served in many different callings in the church. John enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, hunting, and camping, but most of all spending time with his family.


John is survived by his wife, Zelda Topham Goudy; daughters: Cherelyn (Cher) Williamson, Susan (Brent) Lowe, Debra (James) Robinson; six grandchildren: Tracie Wilson, Michael, Patrick and Eric Williamson, and Sam and Max Robinson; and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and all of his brothers and sisters.


Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, Orem, with a viewing prior to the services from 12:00-1:45 p.m.
Interment will be in the Santaquin City Cemetery.
