Betty Lee (Legg) Beach, 83, Marion, and a former Tipton resident, died at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in Miller's Merry Manor in Marion. She was born March 6, 1926 in Pontiac, Michigan to John & Ruth (Leavell) Legg. In June, 1948 she married Jack E. Beach and he preceded her in death in February, 1976.

She was a homemaker, wife and mother. Betty had attended the Kemp United Methodist Church and was married there. She was a 1944 graduate of Tipton High School and attended Indiana and Purdue Universities.

She is survived by one son, Timothy J. Beach, Morgantown and three grandchildren, Sara Beach, Bruce Beach and Allison Beach. Betty was preceded in death by one son, Bruce E. Beach and one brother, Jack Legg.

Her funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 12 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Collier presiding. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Friday.
