Ruth M. Maloney RANDOLPH Ruth M. (Smith) Maloney, of Randolph, died Jan. 25, after a brief illness. She was 88. Ruth was born in Boston. She grew up in Malden and graduated from Malden Catholic High School and has been a resident of Randolph for 50 years. She worked in the cafeteria at Randolph High School for many years retiring in 1977. Ruth enjoyed bingo, traveling and family. Beloved wife of the late James J. Maloney, Sr. Mother of James J. Maloney, Jr and his wife Diana of Randolph, Dennis Maloney and his wife Nancy of W. Bridgewater, Stephen Maloney and his wife Cheryl of Dedham, Maureen "Rene" Connolly of Whitman and the late Kathleen M. Barrows. Sister of the late Mary Edwards. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph Saturday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 5-8 p.m. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park Canton. Donations in Ruth's memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368 or Boston Catholic TV, P.O. Box 9196, Watertown, MA 02471.
