Actor. Born John Anthony Fetto, II, to Italian immigrants, he was the only son of six children. While stationed in the Philippines with the United States Army during World War II, he entertained in USO shows. After returning home, he performed on the New York stage and began a lengthy career on the small screen in guest roles from the mid-1950s into the mid-1980s, in such programs as "The Phil Silvers Show", "Route 66", "Naked City", "Get Smart", "The Wild, Wild West", "Police Woman" and "Murder, She Wrote". He may be best remembered by TV audiences for his part as 'Lt. Carl Reese' in the series "Ironside", from 1968 to 1975. Among his motion picture credits are "The Last Mile" (1959), "The Apartment" (1960), "Navajo Run" (1964), which he also directed and produced, and "What Did You Do in the War, Daddy?" (1966). He died from lung cancer.
