MARVIN BROWN
Marvin N. Brown, 38, of Newark, formally of Crooksville, died of an apparent heart attack at 2:05 p.m. Friday, July 1 at Newark Hospital where he had been admitted an hour earlier for treatment of chest pains.
Born March 1, 1928 in Crooksville he was a son of Asa and Faye Allen Brown of Crooksville.
He was an employee of Owens-Corning Fiber Glass Corp., and a veteran of World War II.
Also surviving are his widow, Naomi Weekly Brown; two daughters Phyllis and Marvella, two sons Robert and Gerald, and a stepson Oran Nicholas all of the home; two sisters Mrs. Ernest Chester of Newark and Mrs. Kenneth Teagarden of 452 Adair Avenue, Zanesville; three brothers, Charles Brown of 808 Luck Avenue, Zanesville, Asa Brown Jr. and Dean both of Crooksville. A sister and two brothers are deceased.
The body was taken to Criss Brothers Funeral Home in Newark where friends were received.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Charles Smith Jr. officiating. Burial was in Soldiers section of Cedar Hill in Newark.
