Albert Hutchinson Jarman was the oldest son of John Plaskett Jarman and Jane Hutchinson Jarman. He born and raised in San Jose, where he attended public schools and was a member of the Episcopal Church. After graduation from public schools, he attended Stanford University. In 1892 he graduated from there in and then he continued his studies for about three years, and in 1895 went to Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he entered the Michigan University and was graduated in 1896 with the degree of Doctor of Laws. He then returned to San Jose and entered private practice until his death. He served as deputy district attorney for four years, from 1898 until 1902. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge in San Jose and well known in the area of his talents as a lawyer.
He married Eleanor North on Nov 1, 1900.
He had been serving as a mining attorney in Washington, D.C. for ten years when he died there on May 28, 1930. He was survived by his wife, his mother, and his two younger sisters. His father preceded him in death in 1921.
