Mrs. A.M. Bowen was laid to rest in Oak Grove cemetery. Services were officiated by Rev. J.E. Evans, her former pastor of the First Christian Church. In the death of Mrs. Bowen, the city has lost one of the very best women, a loving wife and mother and a devout Christian who will be greatly missed.
She came to Texas in 1875 with her parents. She had been a member of the Christian Church since 5 September 1909 and had lived a consecrated life.
Survived by her husband; one daughter - Miss Grace Bowen; two sisters; one brother.
Death certificate shows she was born in South Carolina. All of the census records and funeral home records show she was born in Pennsylvania. Obituary and her daughter's records show she was born at Chilhawee, Missouri.
