This is George Milligan Giffin, the son of George and Mary Ann "Nancy" Milligan Giffen. He married Sara Ann Belville and lived in Belmont County until 1846 when they began a series of moves westward, settling finally in Valparaiso, Nebraska. He was my first cousin, four times removed. Much more information is available if you are interested. I am very thankful to my cousin, Nancy Sicotte of Palo Alto, CA for sending me a copy of the photo. She is a direct descendant of George Milligan Giffin. Interestingly, both of George's grandfathers served in the Revolutionary War. -
