Sue Ann Chatwin, passed away on December 22, 2009 at Huntsman Cancer Center after a nine year valiant battle with breast cancer.


Sue Ann was born April 12, 1958 in Payson, Utah to Robert Paul and Christie Cherrington. She married Ray Chatwin on August 10, 1991 in the Jordan River Temple.


Sue grew up in Mapleton and attended Mapleton and Springville schools. She went on an LDS mission to Hartford, Connecticut. Sue attended Utah State College and graduated from Southern Utah University.


Sue was an active member in the LDS Church and held many positions. Sue's hobbies were scrapbooking, spending time with family and friends and she loved going to family reunions.


Sue is survived by her husband, Ray, and two sons, Brett and Syler; four step-children: Sarah Tuft (Trent), LaLanya Sewell (David), Justin Chatwin (Amy), Forrest Chatwin (Emily), and ten grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Christie A. Cherrington, sister, Danna Barter (Clint), two brothers; David Cherrington (Tonya) and Jon Cherrington (Sandra); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Paul Cherrington; father and mother-in-law, paternal and maternal grandparents.


Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Chapel, 55 North Main Street, Springville. There will be a viewing held on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, and at the Church on Monday one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
